Adrenaline Shoc

This week I picked up this gorgeous can to try out. I don’t know how I haven’t heard about or even noticed this in stores before, especially with the vivid color. When i started this whole thing about reviewing energy drinks, I thought I pretty much seen all that was out there. But after doing several of these blogs, I’ve noticed there is way more options on the market that I realized. This one, along with the last one I tried (Celsius), are very similar in the fact that they are pushing the campaign of being “smart energy” by being a healthy alternative to the common sugar monsters (lol pun) that are dominating the market these days. And those companies may want to look into different ways to make their product healthier because I think there will be a huge market for these healthy energy drinks in the next few years. With all the things I see about diets and nutrition paradigms being changed, I totally see the energy drink market following suite.

So my initial thoughts of this thing was that it was going to suck just because I’ve been so ingrained with the idea of “healthy tastes bad” all through my life. However, I thought the same about the Celsius last time and that experience probably helped me enjoy this drink a little more. It tasted just like something from my childhood, I just can’t put my finger on it… Think of the most kool-aid fruit punch thing you have ever tasted and then try to imagine it tasting more fruit punchy. that’s how this thing tastes. It’s really good with a small aftertaste and not much carbonation and as far as energy goes, it was on the lower end. At least for me it was, but if you haven’t tried energy drinks or are smaller and more susceptible to stuff like this then I think this would be a perfect choice for you.

I would rate this a 7/10 for me. It has a great taste with a good buzz of energy but for me, it’s not what I look for in an energy drink. It’s like trying to review a truck when you only like cars. It can still be cool, just not the same to you. (if you don’t understand that analogy, I’m sorry. Best I got)

  1. I have to say, I’m not an energy drink person for heath reasons, but these blogs are very intriguing to me. I don’t think I realized this is such a big market.
